Evie’s Christening.

Standard

My little niece is being christened on Sunday & I wanted to give her a special gift, but as I’m not a Christian I didn’t think it appropriate to give the usual sort of gift. Plus I like to do things differently so I thought of a clock. Yes I know, How is that special??

This is how. My daughter gave me the clock movement from a cdt project she made at school a few years ago. Thank you Minxy.
I found the pattern in a magazine, World of Crossstitch I think, (Could have been Crossstitcher.) They did it as “A stitch in time…”

I put Evie’s name & the time she was born, 02.14 at the bottom.
Also the numbers of the face are sewn with glow in the dark thread. So now my brother can see what time Evie has woken him!! Hehe.

I made a card too. I changed the design at the last moment.

Originally the insert was going to be on the front of the card but the writing was to overpowering. So I added Evie sewn to match the clock. I love the little pram. Not that they look like that nowadays.

As always Thank you my beloved Steven for ironing these pieces. & for your input in the designs. Wxx
